What is an SBR?
A short-barreled rifle (SBR) is defined by the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA). The NFA defines an SBR as a shoulder-fired rifled firearm with a barrel length of fewer than 16 inches. The ATF regulates an SBR as a Title II weapon. A private citizen may own an SBR as long as local laws do not prohibit them. However, it must be registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). In addition, individuals purchasing SBRs must pay a $200 tax before taking possession of or creating the firearm.

SBRs are a surefire way to ensure that everyone knows you are not compensating for anything with your rifle size. Additionally, SBRs are significantly better at getting you laid than other rifles.
