Rob Adams founded Black Rifle in 2008.
Rob was interested in firearms as a hobby and wanted to build an AR15 in California. Existing gun shops in the area told him that it was illegal to do so at that time. He was able to get legal representation, learned it was legal to do, and built his own AR15.
"Then all my friends wanted AR15s, and I knew I had a business." - Rob Adams.
Rob got into the business of selling parts and accessories and eventually grew it into a gun store.
Rob opened Sparks Black Rifle 6 years later. It opened as an opportunity to ship inventory out of California, make it California-compliant, and send it back in. It started as a hub but took off quickly.
The Boise Black Rifle location opened in October 2020 after Rob moved to Idaho to get out of California himself.
What Black Rifle Stands For
Black Rifle stands for culture and community.
Unfortunately, the news and media have been demonizing "black rifles." However, we used this terminology as an opportunity to bring people together.
With all the negative attention on "scary black guns," we wanted to bring together a community of 2nd Amendment supporters who know that guns are not the problem.
Our company fosters a community, supports it, and provides people access to the guns and accessories they love.
